Hakone Owakudani
Owakudani is a popular and dynamic volcanic valley located in Hakone, Japan. Formed around 3,000 years ago during the last eruption of Mount Hakone, it is known for its active geothermal activity, with steam vents and bubbling hot springs scattered across the landscape. Visitors to Owakudani can witness the valley’s striking scenery, characterized by rugged terrain and a distinct sulfuric smell that permeates the air.
One of the unique attractions in Owakudani is the “black eggs” (Kuro-tamago), which are regular eggs boiled in the natural hot springs, turning their shells black due to the sulfur in the water. Local legend says that eating one of these eggs can add seven years to your life.

We had the BestPosted on Flower girlTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zia, was our driver. He was very personable. He was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about questions we had about Japan in general. He recommended we start early at 6am. That turn out to be a great decision as we got started before Tokyo rush hour which enabled us to also get ahead of the crowds at the various attraction spots we visited. He was very knowledgeable about each location. We thought we hit the jack pot having him as our tour guide. An added bonus was we could see all of Mount Fuji which is not always the case.Posted on Andres MedinaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our private tour of Mt. Fuji with Peteri was nothing short of extraordinary—easily one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, personalized, and truly unforgettable. Peteri picked us up مباشرة from our hotel in Tokyo in a spotless, comfortable vehicle, which immediately set the tone for the day. His professionalism and warm personality made us feel at ease right away. Throughout the journey, he shared a wealth of knowledge about the region, Japanese culture, and the history surrounding Mt. Fuji, making the drive just as enjoyable as the destinations themselves. What really set this tour apart was Peteri’s expertise in knowing exactly where to go for the most breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji—without the overwhelming crowds. He took us to hidden vantage points that offered stunning, postcard-perfect scenery, giving us incredible photo opportunities that felt private and exclusive. We also loved how flexible the entire experience was. Peteri was incredibly accommodating and encouraged us to customize the day based on our interests. A beautiful one-day trip to Mount Fuji! My friends and I organized a day trip from Tokyo with the agency, and it was very satisfying. We had a great time, and the agency was very precise in the organization. I would recommend it!Posted on Jurga RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. These guys saved our day when we got scammed and the tour we had originally booked didn’t show up. Within half an hour of contacting them, a driver was standing at our hotel and took us to all the main sights at Mt Fuji. Our driver’s English was limited, but he was very professional and attentive to everything we asked, so it all worked out really well in the end. Thank you once again!
